Albums I listened to in 2024: Favorite Songs

This is my solution to the "how do I list my top tracks without making the list hard to navigate", at least for right now. I will be listing the albums alphabetically. I won't be linking to anything on this page, since the Spotify links to the albums are already provided. It'll be top 3 or top 5, there is no real criteria for this.

1039/Smoothed Out Happy Hour (Green Day)

Top 5 tracks, in no particular order

  1. Knowledge
  2. Why Do You Want Him?
  3. At The Library
  4. Don't Leave Me
  5. The One I Want

Sorry for listing a cover as the top song, but it's a really enjoyable cover! Here's the original, if you somehow never heard it.

AM (Arctic Monkeys)

Top 5 tracks, in no particular order

  1. Arabella
  2. Do I Wanna Know?
  3. R U Mine?
  4. I Wanna Be Yours
  5. Knee Socks

Fun fact: I went to see them during the AM tour in 2014. I was a junior in high school and somebody spilled beer all over me. Also Arctic Monkeys was late as fuck and I kinda wanted to go home the whole time.

Belaya Polosa (Molchat Doma)

Top 3 tracks, in no particular order

  1. Ty Zhe Ne Znaesh Kto Ya
  2. Belaya Polosa
  3. Kolesom

Box of Bongwater (Bongwater)

I didn't like this album. Decadent Iranian Country Club is an interesting song though. Dazed and Chinese is on my "Orientalism Type Beat" playlist. Decadent Iranian Country Club might also be on that playlist, actually. I'm not going to check. If you're going to listen to Bongwater, The Power of Pussy is a much better choice.

  3. 360
  4. Mean Girls
  5. 365

If (Mindless Self Indulgence)

Mindless Self Indulgence is not very good, but I listened to them a lot as an edgy emo/scene kid so. I guess I do have opinions on this? Top 5 tracks, no particular order. Keep in mind that none of these songs is actually good.

  1. Never Wanted To Dance
  2. Issues
  3. Evening Wear
  4. Prescription
  5. Lights Out

...I guess Prescription is probably the least offensive out of these 5 songs. If you want to give them a listen because you want to make up your own mind, I'd try the album You'll Rebel to Anything. Don't stream it though, figure out some other way to listen to it.

Iron Maiden (Iron Maiden)
