Albums
I started listening to full albums regularly when I was working a stock room job in 2024 and have been keeping track of them since. I'm still not certain about the way everything is organized, but I wanted to share what music I've listened to with anybody who stumbles upon my website. I love music and I do feel like I can be a little bit of a music snob, though luckily that's kept mostly to offline.
2024 was spent mostly listening to full albums for musicians I already liked, albums I liked when I was younger and wanted to revisit, or things I was fairly certain I would enjoy. 2025 has been some of that, but I've also been trying to pay more attention to recent releases and ideally that's what I decide to continue doing for the foreseeable future. I'd like to have a good mix of new releases and older stuff I just never heard before.
I tend to listen to a pretty wide variety of genres, but my favorite genres are gothic rock, EBM, darkwave, grunge and rock/country from the 40s-60s. Honestly, the only genres I'm not crazy about are R&B and pop. There's still some songs or musicians I enjoy, but I pretty consistently find myself underwhelmed by those genres.
