Prompt: Have your views on how magick works changed in any significant way over the years?
Probably? I don't know if I really thought about how magic worked without explicitly being prompted to. I personally think it requires energy from deities or spirits, since they can do things we can't (you are free to disagree, obviously, I'm not looking to debate) so I tend to also petition deities/spirits during spellwork on the rare occasion I do it. Beyond that, it...depends I guess? I tend to explain magic to people who don't believe in it as being worth it because, even if it doesn't literally do anything, it makes you feel better or more confident and that's enough to justify it in my mind. I definitely think magic doesn't work without non-magical effort though. If you do a spell to get a job, you still need to be looking at and applying to jobs. This is kind of a broad question, since magic encompasses a lot of different things.
