Day Three - Ethics and Morality
Full Prompt: What are your beliefs about ethics and morality? Do you think practicing witchcraft will change your views? If so, how?
This is incredibly broad because my ethics and morality fluctuate depending on circumstances. I keep trying to summarize my ethics and morality and it's actually impossible because...on what topic? My most basic belief, I suppose, is that all people deserve the right to live comfortably, have access to necessities as well as luxuries (not at the expense of the planet or other people, however), and all of that. Autonomy, right to self expression, y'know the drill.
Obviously, witchcraft would not change this. As far as the popular debate of "are love spells immoral?"...no. I do not think witchcraft can override a person's free will and I think it's actually ridiculous to think otherwise.
Took me forever to type this, despite how little I actually ended up saying because it's just...so broad. And regardless, my answer for witchcraft changing my views was going to be "no". I don't know how witchcraft would suddenly make me hate autonomy and people living well. I feel like me and the author of this prompt list might be working with different definitions here, somehow.
