Day Five - Open About Witchcraft?
Full Prompt: Do you plan to be open about witchcraft to people you know? Why or why not?
I've been practicing witchcraft since I was a teenager and I don't tell very many people about it. I definitely will never tell my family, because I just don't really like discussing spirituality with them. As for why I don't tell more friends and am not particularly open about it on social media, There's a few reasons. One, I don't like the New Age-y woo-woo view people have of witches and pagans. Two, people are just incredibly judgmental about it (likely because of the popular, New Age-y stereotypes). I also don't really know what the purpose of bringing it up would be.
